1. Introduction

Unwrappa is a platform connecting creators and brands for PR collaborations and paid partnerships with compensation. We are committed to protecting your personal privacy and process your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Data We Collect

We only collect the personal data necessary to provide and improve our service.

Creators

We collect the following data about creators:

  • Full name, email address, phone number, age, gender, and physical address (for delivery of PR packages)
  • Social media links (e.g. Instagram and TikTok) and media kit
  • Links to selected content
  • Free-text description (e.g. a short bio and personal interests)
  • Preferences and wishes for collaborations
  • What the creator offers brands in a collaboration
  • Chat messages sent via the platform

Brands

We collect the following data about brands:

  • Company name, contact details, website, and social media links
  • Free-text description of the brand and its business
  • Creator criteria (e.g. target audience, age, and gender)
  • Information about specific campaigns and products included in collaborations, such as product descriptions with details like colour, size, and model
  • Chat messages sent via the platform

Payment Information

Payments for the premium subscription (SEK 199/month) are handled by Stripe. Unwrappa does not store card details – these are processed exclusively by Stripe. We may store data about subscription status and payment history to administer your account.

Technical Data

We use essential cookies to manage login, security, and basic website functionality.

4. How and Why We Use Your Data

We process your personal data based on consent and to fulfil our agreement with you. Data is used for the following purposes:

Applications & Matching

Your profile and media kit are shared with brands you choose to apply to, or with creators that brands reach out to for current campaigns. Data is not publicly searchable or visible to unauthorised parties.

Logistics

Creators' physical addresses are shared with brands only once a collaboration has been confirmed, and solely for the purpose of enabling delivery of PR packages.

Verification

Data is used for manual review and approval of users, in order to maintain a professional and safe platform.

Communication

We use your data to inform you about account status, applications, and other necessary service information. We also provide a built-in chat for communication between brands and creators in confirmed collaborations.

Premium Service

For brands with a premium subscription, data is used to administer the subscription, process payments via Stripe, and provide access to expanded campaign features. The subscription has no lock-in period and can be cancelled at any time.

5. Data Retention

We store your personal data for as long as you have an active account on Unwrappa. If you choose to delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, unless legal requirements mandate longer retention.

Payment history and accounting records may need to be retained for a longer period in accordance with applicable bookkeeping regulations (7 years).

6. Third-Party Services and Data Processors

We share your data with the following third parties to the extent required to provide the service:

  • Stripe – Payment service for managing subscriptions and payments. Stripe processes payment data under its own data controller responsibility. See Stripe's privacy policy for more information.
  • Vercel – Cloud platform used to host the service. Technical data such as IP addresses may be processed by Vercel in connection with service delivery.
  • Resend – Email service used to send transactional emails, such as confirmations and account notifications.
  • Instagram and TikTok – The platform contains links to these services. Unwrappa is not responsible for how these external services process personal data.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access – you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification – you can request that inaccurate data be corrected.
  • Right to erasure – you can request that your data be deleted ("the right to be forgotten").
  • Right to object – you can object to certain processing of your data.
  • Right to data portability – you can request your data in a machine-readable format.

Contact us at hello@unwrappa.com to exercise your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you believe we are processing your data incorrectly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or via a clear notice on the platform. The latest version is always available on our website.
